北海道・夕張長沼villaプロジェクト Yubari Naganuma VILLA Project, Hokkaido

The site is located in Naganuma-cho, Yubari-gun, not far from New Chitose Airport, and covers a forested area of 3,000 tsubo. Naganuma is famous for its Jingisukan cuisine.

The site is a long forest from north to south. We plan to build 6 villas and a company on the site.
This area experiences snowfall of 1.5 to 2.0 meters in winter. Recently, wild brown bears have been seen in the town due to the lack of food in the forest. Therefore, a plan was made to prevent snow accumulation and wild brown bears in winter by adopting concrete stilts with a special formative design. The ground floor of the building is considered to be able to completely protect the residential portion, which is the living area.
For the second floor, a steeply pitched triangular roof was adopted to eliminate snow loading and to create a rhythmical continuity in the interior beams. This design allows the dynamic strength of the building to directly enter the view.
The interior has Oyanishi stone walls and a Tamoki wood floor. Towada stone was used for the exterior floor, and materials were selected to create an atmosphere that can be enjoyed as the building ages.

Large balconies are located on both sides of the gable end so that residents can enjoy forest bathing in the summer.

The exterior plan is completed by planting about 500 ash and kiri trees, and creating the image of a dynamic triangular roof sinking into the forest.
